About

Voilà!

My Chinese name is 李雨龙 (Li Yulong). Rain dragon is the translation of the name, which is pretty cool, isn’t it? As a Grade 11 IB-er, I take Computer Science High Level this year. I am really enthusiastic about computer science. Computer science is highly associated with our lives. Now we are using electronic devices, especially computers and smart phones every day. Computer science also have a promising future. I believe that computer science will contribute to many of technology breakthroughs in the future.

Briefly introduction of myself:

I was born in Beijing, but all my family members are originally from Sichuan Province (famous for spicy food). Traveling is my longest hobby. At age of 7, I had my first experience abroad in England. Later on, I traveled to several countries, but the most memorable trip was to Norway. In Norway, I took a ferry from Svalbard (the northeast town) to N 81º and saw several polar bears and fanatic sceneries. I also traveled a lot in China. I have been to Kubuqi Desert and managed to get out of it in three days. The other time in Tibet, I saw Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon with my eyes after 4 days’ walking. I used to read and play the saxophone a lot, and I am trying to regain these hobbies recently. Out of school, I sometimes participate in MUN conferences and public  forum debates. Though I am not good at them, I enjoy preparing for them and giving presentations. My dream now is to be a engineer that can build great things by myself. Oh, also I love playing basketball, loving it so much that I will try my best efforts to make myself better.
